Kingdome antenna grinding noise on roof.
Antenna motor is grinding broken yes your antenna motor is still running because it hasn t realized that the antenna is all the way down or up and need to stop.
The switch is constructed with a flat metal disc with a gap which is riveted or bolted to a plastic gear at the middle.
I really don t notice that sound.
I get a grinding noise.
The grinding noise you hear is due to the mechanical slip clutch.
Pop the covers of the overhead cabin light by pulling down on each end of the plastic cover the side which meets the middle border between the two plastic covers lenses.
The cold at night was making the framing beams to expand and contract causing an annoying rhythmic ticking noise.

I would not recommend that anybody use this antenna provider combination.

It sometimes takes 3 or 4 resets before it will work and sometimes it won t work at all.
