May 18 2015 3 32pm i just had a thought. You need the kas mod for an engineer to replace solar panels. Right click on the solar panel when next to it and select grab. This is for stations with large tracking solar arrays not the small single ones.

Adding the solar panel radially allows a perfect orientation at all thrusting directions. You could send an engineer up and bump into the solar panel and edit your save file to make your panels not broken and pretend your engineer bumped it and fixed it. You might be able to quite easily edit your save file. Apr 8 2014 7 10pm.
