Installing Sillcock Aluminum Siding

Press your bit into the siding that covers the outside of the house just far enough that it makes a hole with the centering part of the paddle bit.

I have one on the back that was already on the house and there is a square plastic mount that the sillcock is attached to and the vinyl siding is cut to fit around it so that it looks decent and doesn t smash the siding. When installing the trim at the windows start at the bottom then move to the sides and install the top portion last. Each sheet of siding has a nail strip at the top. This will help control water flow and prevent leakage.

You can now place the sillcock in the hole and get a better idea how it will sit. Space nails a maximum of 16 inches for horizontal siding 12 inches for vertical and 6 to 12 inches for accessories. Nail in the center of the slot. Then go outside and complete the hole by drilling through the siding.

I m adding a sillcock onto the front of my house to take care of the landscaping. For vinyl siding use aluminum galvanized steel or other corrosion resistant nails.
